Rebi with support from the Royal Norwegian Embassy in Kampala enhances vocational skills in Renewable Energy in Uganda for the youth. Under the skills enhancement program, REBi supported 57(43 males and 14 Females students to different Renewable Energy (RE) companies and organizations for skilling for a period of six months. Inaddition to that, all the supported youth completed six(6) months while on training. The RE companies and organizations where the youth were attached for industrial training included among the following; Bugali Hydro Power in Jinja, Eco gardens Rwenzori ltd in Kasese, Kisiizi Hospital Hydro power Limited in Rukungiri, Master Power Systems Limited in Kampala, Ugastove Limited in Kampala, Josa green Technologies limited in Wakiso, Best Of Waste limited in Kampala, Kampala Jellitone Suppliers limited in Kampala, Center for Research in Energy and Energy Conservation (CREEC) at Makerere University Kampala, Energy Uganda Foundation in Wakiso, Absolute Energy in Kalangala, Adpt plus limited in Bukere, Kyaka II Refugee Settlement, Portico limited in Nakivale Refugee Settlement Isingiro, Uganda Electricity Distribution Company Limited in Kibaale, Kanungu, Kisoro, Mayuge, Ntungamo and Isingiro districts. The program is aimed at skilling young people both males and females in Renewable Energy and increasing on their employability in the RE value chain. Adjust to this, under the skilling program, the trainees have completed six months which has enabled them enhance their skills in RE. Finally, the hands on training benefited youth in skilling as increased employability .
